The Texarkana Texas Police have arrested three men in a sting operation and have been charged with Online Solicition of a Minor.
This was a two-day sting operation by the Special Investigations Unit along with the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety in an effort to stop child sexual trafficking. Yes, unfortunately, it happens in our area too.
According to the TTPD Facebook page,
Officers posted a fake ad on a website known to offer prostitution services and then posed as an underage girl when men responded to the ad. Even though the “girl” told each of them that she talked to that she was underage, each of the three men still wanted to come meet up with her and offered to pay her for sex. When the guys showed up and knocked, they were shocked when several police officers answered the door instead of the young girl they were expecting.
The three men were all arrested and are now at the Bi-State Jail downtown.
The men charged were:
Adarius Wills, 33 years old, was charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor (Sexual Conduct) and Delivery of Marijuana. His bond was set at $85,000.
Telvin Wilson, 31 years of age was charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor (Sexual Conduct). His bond was set at $100,000.
James Willis, 37 years old, was also charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor (Sexual Conduct), plus Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest, Abandoning/Endangering a Child with Intent to Return, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond had not yet been set, but we can only assume it will be higher than the other two men.
